IFEAT 2024: Bangkok, Parties, Partnerships, and Plenty of Passion!

This year, the always-anticipated IFEAT (International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trades) Conference landed in Bangkok—later than usual, but totally worth the wait! Set against the vibrant backdrop of Thailand’s bustling capital, the event attracted the biggest crowd ever, with nearly 1,700 delegates from all corners of the fragrance and flavour (F&F) industry. And while there was plenty of networking, learning, and discussing the future of the industry, let’s be honest—there was also a fair share of partying and reconnecting with old friends and colleagues.

For the Stort F&F team, it was an exciting opportunity to be part of this global gathering. As specialists in providing independent access to the UK market, we couldn’t be more thrilled to mingle with so many bright minds from across the world. The atmosphere in Bangkok was nothing short of electric—optimistic, open-minded, and forward-thinking, with sustainability and building new partnerships top of mind.

IFEAT’s appeal lies in its unique ability to combine the serious business of the F&F industry with a sense of fun and camaraderie. And Bangkok? It was the perfect location for this fusion of innovation and celebration. From the buzzing streets to the sleek conference halls, the energy was contagious.

Looking ahead, we’re already counting down the days to next year’s conference in Gothenburg, Sweden. While we’ll miss the tropical warmth and frenetic pace of Bangkok, we’re looking forward to soaking in the “cool” vibes of Sweden’s progressive spirit—no doubt in the best way possible.
