Stort Group Partners with Alternative Plants

Stort Group is pleased to announce a new partnership with Alternative Plants, a biotechnology company based in Riga, Latvia, specialising in active botanical ingredients for the personal care and cosmetics industries.

Founded in 2017, Alternative Plants is at the forefront of plant biotechnology, developing high-performance actives using cultivated plant stem cells and modern biorefinery principles. By producing ingredients in a controlled laboratory environment rather than relying on large-scale plant harvesting, the company protects biodiversity and reduces environmental impact.

This approach supports the growing demand for clean and responsibly sourced cosmetic ingredients.

Alternative Plants offers a focused portfolio of six active ingredients, each designed to address specific skin and scalp concerns:

• CaffiCell – Derived from upcycled coffee grounds, energising the skin and scalp, stimulating microcirculation and delivering strong antioxidant benefits, while supporting circular economy principles.
